Yoga nidra... Guided by Vikki, in a voice that was part nursery school teacher, part hypnotist, exercises like “the scan”, where you focus on different parts of your body from the crown of your head to the tops on your toes, left me poleaxed, and a convert to more restorative forms of yoga.... On Saturday I felt wiped out but after a day of alternating mindful/nidra classes I slept for 10 hours and woke up to an unfamiliar sensation. It took me a moment or two to put my finger on it: I wasn’t tired. Not only was I not tired, I felt so energetic I considered going for a run, something I haven’t done for five years.

Thank you so much for all you have done in the classes, the breathing in particular really helped as did the sessions with the balls, I don’t think I could ever have imagined giving birth with no pain relief – not even gas and air, before doing yoga and I still can’t quite believe I did it now! It wasn’t my intention that’s for sure!

I just wanted to let you know how brilliant the c-section class was when I did it all those months ago (think I was in the first group you did). Whilst I probably didn’t continue with many of the exercises, I did the massage you showed us on the scar with bio oil almost every day since and it looks so good now. Much fainter and starting to not look pink at all in places.
